Jamie Melville Ormston is a multi-disciplined photographer, Creative Coach & Mentor and Director of Photography from the North-East of England.

Jamie’s love for storytelling began with poetry and songwriting, going on to study Commercial Music and specialising in songwriting, at Bath Spa University in 2008. Incidentally, it was through this course that he discovered his passion for visual media whilst working behind the camera directing and producing music videos during his time in Bath.

Jamie has recently completed his MA Photography post-graduate degree at Falmouth University. His post-graduate research and photographic practice explores the culture and place attachment of traditional folk music and story within Scotland & England, linking it to his own sense of identity. 

​

He is also a practicing Fashion Photographer and Art Director, whilst also working on creative projects and consultancy for his clients as Creative Director and co-founder at his creative collective; KOH-Create.

Jamie Melville Ormston is an Associate (ARPS) of The Royal Photographic Society and an Accredited Member of the Association of Photographers (AoP).
